How About A Little Gardening

I hope you all had a fantastic Mother's Day.  My boys spoiled me with breakfast in bed, awesome home-made gifts and a day of relaxing.  What could be better.
Last weekend we set to work building these raised garden boxes and this weekend we finally got dirt for them so we were able to set out and plant our garden.

Makai was so patiently waiting for his turn to plant something.

With all of this extra space for our garden we decided we would plant some strawberry plants.  My husband figures the kids will eat them before they make their way inside.

Chase got busy planting our herbs

When all the garden was planted we had to have some garden stakes so we set out to make these, it was fun having the kids try to figure out what went where.

With the garden all planted, next on the list is hitting up the green house and filling up our planters with a bunch of pretty flowers, I can't wait.

Lovve this! I've always wanted to be a garden person but my thumbs are not even close to green. Can't wait to see the progress!

Very cute! My kids each have their own gardens this year, and if some things start to grow, I'll make them some markers. Thanks for linking to Handmade Tuesdays.

I think the super long raised beds are the way to go! I have one of those and I think it is the most space appropriate. I love the name signs you made. Your garden is looking great already!
Thanks for sharing!
