Off Road Birthday Cake

This weekend we celebrated our sons 6th birthday which included two bounce houses, 18 kids, one happy boy and this off road birthday cake.

This was a fun and easy cake to do, I mad the cake out of chocolate as I wanted some of it to show through for the dirt and then use some for the hill.

We went to a local bulk store and found these fun chocolate rock candies that worked perfectly on our cake.  My boys had just got these dirt bike legos which we added.

My two youngest were home when I did this cake so they thought it was pretty cool I let them help do all the rocks and of course eat some along the way.

Although we had a birthday party this weekend we were able to get a big chunk of our hardwood flooring in, I am so excited to share it when it is all done.

Hope you all had a great weekend.

Oh my! What a perfect cake for a little boy's birthday. I love the Lego guys on it :) My nephew would love something like this...I will have to store the idea away until December (that's when his birthday is!) Great job!

As the proud mother of a couple true all American boys, I think this cake is perfect.
