Cute Blue Side Table

How can you tell that I have been trying to get the garage cleaned out of all my projects before the snow flies, nothing like the thought of scrapping snow off the windows to get things going.

This was a cute round table I found that I am in love with. I love pieces that are not a dime a dozen, a one of piece.

It wasn't the cutest thing before but with a little love a care it has transformed into what she was meant to be.

I am torn if I should keep it or not because it is so cute with her new coat of paint.

This week coming up my new island counter is coming and the new sink is going to be installed. The start of the kitchen updating is going to be well under way.

As well this weekend marks the first game of my sons football season so we have been gearing up for it and the team has been working hard to get ready.

Hope you all have a wonderful Weekend!!!

Shabby Chic Table with Folding Sides

Well because I was so excited to get this project done I forgot to take pictures of the before but I am happy to share with you the finished product.  How cute are these side tables, I love the sides that can be folded down.

I am so lucky to have a mother in-law who loves garage sales and is always on the look out for my next project and this was another one that she found for me.  I was lucky that she found two of these and a matching coffee table which I am still working on but will share with you soon.

With a little love and a fresh coat of paint she is ready to be enjoyed in someones home.

Shabby Chic Side Table

With the kiddies back in school I have been able to spend alot more time working on projects that have been sitting in the garage all summer long.  With each piece being done I am excited to see how they turn out and my husband is excited to see his garage getting emptier by the day.

This little beauty was something I stumbled upon which had seen better days and had a few water marks on it.  Nothing a little paint couldn't fix.

I love this piece so much I am tempted to keep it for myself but I think my hubby would disagree.

Can't wait to show you some of my upcoming Furniture Re-do's

Refinished Kitchen Chairs

There just isn't anything better to me than taking a piece of furniture that most wouldn't even take a second look at and making it new again.
I am lucky enough that I have lots of people who keep an eye opened for some good finds and I was lucky when my Mom found me these chairs.

They had definitely seen better days but they were a good quality and sturdy chair.

While I have made homemade Chalk Paint before I had never used the real stuff and after having used it I don't know if I could go back to the homemade stuff again.

After a couple coats of paint and a little distressing I added some new fabric to the seats to finish it off.

Wouldn't have even guessed it was the same chair.  I was really happy with how this turned out and the ease of the Chalk Paint.

With school back in this week I am hoping to have many more projects to share with you as I will have a little more time on my hands.

Wood Wall Art

While re-vamping the main floor of our house is fun and I love seeing the finished product, my walls are a little bare and my vision doesn't seem to match anything that is in the stores. So it was time to create something for this very bare wall, I headed to the good old internet for inspiration and came across this blog post from
Shanty 2 Chic and I was inspired.

I wanted to add a variety of colors to mine so stained some and then I painted some as well.  I think the hardest part of this project was finding 1x3's for the frame really who would have thought 3 local hardware stores and none of them had it.  I was lucky that I had some old barn wood stashed away that worked perfectly for this.

And the search is on to get my other walls filled up with artwork.
